All you have to do is type your piece up and send it through to naturalmama.sa@gmail.com. If you have a website or blog which you would like me to link the piece to, I would be happy to do so.

Please do understand, though, that if I feel that a similar topic has been covered before, or if for whatever reason it does not quite fit in with the feel of Natural Mama, I might not be able to use what you have written.

    I gave birth to my first son in Philadelphia 40 years ago. I am from Australia and wanted natural childbirth which seemed hard to come by in the USA back then.  I found a doctor who was supportive of natural childbirth and after a 32 hour labour supported by my husband, my son arrived.  I also worked at that time with children who were deaf and had read many of the case studies where maternal pain relief in labour had contributed to some disabilites and was determined to have a drug free birth. my next two children were born in Australia and both natural births–my second son after 11 hours was transverse which proved difficult but after 11 hours he put in an appearance.  My daughter arrived in two hours!!  Why I am writing is that I saw the birth of your son on utube [all because my daughter now 34 is training to be a midwife and we have been watching some births together as part of her midwifery degree]  was most moved by your experience.  She and my daughter-in-law have both had natural births [my daughter 3 times and my daughter-in-law 6 times] so just want to congratulate you on your blog and for helping other women to choose natural births
