Continuing with feeding and caring for our body’s using natural ingredients and raw food, I thought I”d share a couple of recipes for treating your hair.

Here’s a Banana Olive Oil Hair Mask from Rawmazing.



  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Mix all ingredients together in a food processor, or mash together with a fork to make a smooth paste.
  • Massage thoroughly into hair. Leave on for 1/2 hour or while you take your bath.

And then, here’s a recipe for a very simple deep conditioning Avocado Hair Mask from Raw Food Passion.


  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/4 cup of water


  • Cut an avocado in half and scoop it out from the skin.
  • Put the avocado in a bowl and mash it with a fork until it is creamy.
  • Add the water to the avocado and mix until creamy.
  • Apply the avocado to wet or dry hair (I apply to dry hair).
  • Once your hair is covered with avocado use a shower cap to cover your head and leave the mask on your hair for an hour.
  • After an hour has passed, get in the shower and wash the avocado out. Next, shampoo and condition your hair.  Please note that sometimes you need to shampoo and condition your hair twice so that it does not look oily when it has dried.
